Cyril Kongo, also known as Kongo, born in 1969 - is a leading French graffiti artist. Kongo has been leaving his graffiti art marks in various walls and media in Paris and throughout the world since 1986.

His paintings were on display in the Grand Palais museum in Paris as part of the exhibition "Tags in the Grand Palais". Kongo did his first solo exhibition with the title "De la rue jaillit la lumiere" (Light springing from the street) in 2011. From then onward, numerous worldwide exhibitions have taken place. The front piece of the Cité des Outre-mer in Paris is a mural by Kongo.

With this recognition, prestigious brands began to commission Kongo for the creation of luxury goods, including a silk scarf (a carré) with Hermès in 2011; a spray-paint can with crystal manufacturer Daum in 2016; a contemporary artwork with Richard Mille “the RM 68-01 Tourbillon”; and Chanel ‘s Pre-Fall 2019 Show in New York’s Metropolitan Museum of Art on December 6, 2018 with a special dress from Karl Lagerfeld.

“Karl’s imagination included the modern artworks of French painter and graffiti artist Cyril Kongo, with patterns mashing up ancient and current; while references to the Italian Memphis group, whose furniture the designer collected in the 1980s, also made inroads on the collection” (VOGUE, UK).
